You will have first dates with people who you have never met in person – those whom you met online. It can be quite daunting when you are given the responsibility of planning the first date. The best part about meeting someone online is that you already know them a bit. You have spoken to them for hours on end via text or telephone and so have an idea what they might be like. It is now the time to test how your chemistry shoots off when you meet face to face.

You could be doing great online with someone, sharing whatnot, and tidbits about your life with each other. However, there is a huge difference between the person you are on text, on the phone, and in person.  This is similar for the person you have matched with online as well.

You both have finally agreed to meet up for a first date, and your excitement knows no bounds. Somewhere you might be feeling and hoping that this person is the one. You want to leave a good impression on them so that the date goes smoothly and they would want to see you again.

You will need to keep a couple of things in your mind when you are planning your first date. It should be affordable, to begin with. Do not spend too much or you will seem too serious too fast, which can be off-putting to your date. However, do not spend too little because it would make you look like you are serious about dating the person. You need to choose a place that is affordable so that you get to start your dating phase on a good note. You need to go to a place where you can converse freely with the person. This means no movie date or super crowded restaurants. You will also have to make sure that you are able to keep up ample eye contact with your date as well.  But you have to choose a different place. Somewhere that you do not usually hangout. It could be a bar or a restaurant that is not your go-to.

Of course, a minimalistic beautiful coffee shop is an ideal place to impress your date. You might still try something new to show off a different side of you. You can try out a museum or art gallery for a change. This will help elevate your conversation capabilities and give your date a significant insight into what you like.

An acoustic music concert is also a good option. You can go to a bar which is well known for playing slow tempo music. This will act as a wonderful backdrop to your intimate conversations.  A picnic by the beach is also a very romantic and subtle way to spend your time with the person you are so excited to know.
